Immigration Solicitor & Lawyers
Recently immigration law has changed radically in the UK so it is in your interest to seek advice from a UK Immigration Solicitor.
In 2008 and 2009, a points based system was introduced relating to different tiers. Although each tier clearly identifies the people it can accommodate, the authorities have been extremely fastidious in the supporting evidence they will accept and so attention to detail is required when submitting applications.
The rules address the money that you should have at your disposal when arriving in the UK to maintain yourself. As a result of incorrectly drafted applications and unacceptable supporting evidence numerous applications are failing.
Engaging a specialist Immigration Solicitor can avoid rejected applications and delay with the inevitable personal disappointment.
The new tiers are known as General which accommodates highly qualified people with at least a Batchelor’s degree and high salary in the country you are currently residing in enabling you to get permission to enter and stay in the UK without the necessity of a job offer from an employer within this country.
Separate tiers exist for entrepreneurs and investors who wish to start a business in the UK or invest a significant amount of money. Entrepreneurs need a minimum of £200,000 to set up the business and investors need at least £1,000,000 for each investment.
The final tier replaces the work permit scheme whereby a UK-based employer can employ overseas based nationals in a job subject to conditions such as there being no one from the indigenous labour market able or willing to undertake the work. The vacancy must also be genuine. Employers must get a sponsorship licence from the UK Border Agency in order to qualify for the scheme.
